Description

This database provides weather data including minimum daily temperature (tasmin in ºC), maximum daily temperature (tasmax in ºC), and daily precipitation (prec in mm) derived from reanalysis dataset ERA5 (Hersbach et al., 2020). The daily weather data was aggregated at municipality level for 42 municipalities of Parana, Brazilian state using Google Earth Engine. Soybean first cycle and wheat crop yields are derived from statistical yearbooks (https://www.agricultura.pr.gov.br/deral/ProducaoAnual). This dataset was used for designing multi-hazard climate risk index insurance in a paper accepted to a publication in the journal Natural Hazards and Earth System Sciences (NHESS). We performed a systematic literature review using Scopus database using the following search string TITLE-ABS-KEY((risk (multi AND risk) OR portfolio) OR (index OR parametric) AND (insurance OR microinsurance OR derivative) AND (weather OR climate)) in february of 2022. Hersbach, H., Bell, B., Berrisford, P., Hirahara, S., Horányi, A., Muñoz‐Sabater, J., ... & Thépaut, J. N. (2020). The ERA5 global reanalysis. Quarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, 146(730), 1999-2049.
