Description

48 hours following behavioral testing, DSR-exposed mice of both strains demonstrated significantly reduced basal serum corticosterone concentrations, regardless of strain (A). Hippocampal expression of the GR was lower among Sub mice, due largely to the inverse effects of DSR testing upon Dom and Sub mice (B). Data are presented as mean ±SEM, n=10; variables contributing to statistical significance by two-way ANOVA indicated as: DSR testing (+-p<0.05, +++-p<0.001) and strain-DSR interaction (^-p<0.05); GR: glucocorticoid receptor, DSR: Dominant-Submissive Relationship, Dom: Dominant, Sub: Submissive.
