Description

COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus that resulted in a change in the way of life, consultation care and social development. The purpose of this study was to describe the prevalence of COVID-19 in the dental clinic staff at the Pedro Henríquez Ureña University (UNPHU). As a result, the prevalence of COVID-19 in the sample studied was 50.6%, with students being the group with the highest COVID-19 positivity with 32%, predominantly the female sex with 55% and the age range 22-27 years with 37%. Ninety-seven percent of the population reported having been inoculated, with a predominance of the Sinovac vaccine in 47%.

Steps to reproduce

This is a cross-sectional analytical observational study, prospective by collection, in which data collection was carried out through a survey type document in: students, teachers, administrative and auxiliary staff of the dental school, in the period January-April 2023, in those involved who met the eligibility criteria.
