Active, passive warm-up complemented with static or neurodynamic stretching
Description
Exploring the acute effects of passive and active warm-up associated to static or neurodynamic stretching on force, electromyography, stiffness and flexibility in healthy, physically active women and men (women = 7 and men = 9). The first column is volunteer number. Code are always the same AAAAA_BB_CCC AAAAA define the variable as follows: Max is the maximal voluntary hamstring torque (N.m) BF is the RMS value of the biceps femoris during the maximal voluntary hamstring contraction (V) ST is the RMS value of the biceps femoris during the maximal voluntary hamstring contraction (V) SR is the seat and reach test (cm) RPE is the rate of perceived exertion ForceP is the passive torque during a passive stretch (N.m) Area is the area of the passive torque during a passive stretch Visco is the viscoelastic (torque decrease during a static stretch (N.m) BB define the experimental procedure as follows: C1 is a passive warm-up followed by a static stretch C2 is a passive warm-up followed by a neurodynamic nerve gliding stretch C3 is an active warm-up followed by a static stretch CCC define the time point as follows: PRE, MID and POST are baseline values, after the warm-up (passive or active) and after the stretch (static or neurodynamic).
