Description

This data set includes the materials required to reproduce the figures and tables presented in the study: "Comparative Analysis of High-Resolution CMIP6 GCM and CMIP5 RCM: Unveiling Biases and Advancements in Simulating Compound Extreme Events in China". The data consist of: Maps of historical and projected temperature, precipitation and compound heat-precipitation events of China from PRECIS and HadGEM3-GC31-HM at 50 km spatial resolution in NetCDF format. Examples: 1. pr_HadGEM3-GC31-HM_8504_90p.nc contains 90th percentile precipitation (extreme precipitation) simulated by HadGEM3-GC31-HM for the years 1985-20004 in China. 2. tas_PREC_8504_tim-obs.nc contains the difference between the PRECIS simulated and observed mean temperatures for the years 1985-20004 in China. 3. com_HadGEM3-GC31-HM_ssp5_3150_pt_change.nc contains PT compound extreme events calculated from HadGEM3-GC31-HM for the relative historical phase change for the years 2031-2050 in China under the SSP5-8.5.
