Dataset for publication: Rowthu et al., Materials & Design, 2021, https://doi.org/10.1016/j.matdes.2021.109821 We have uploaded the raw SEM data of 70 %, 80 %, 90 %, 95 %, 99.5 % and sapphire specimens in the as-sintered state, polished state as well as after conducting sliding wear tests. Furthermore, we have also submitted the raw data acquired from the non-contact white light optical profilometer for all the densifications to show Ra, Rq, Rp, Rv, Rz, flatness and waviness at several locations of the specimens.
