Description

Abstract Over the past year occam-2 harness has been developed for programming in a parallel FORTRAN language on transputer arrays. This harness facilitates the rapid development or adaptation of a variety of application codes in computational physics and chemistry of both the data “farming” and more general algorithmic parallelism strategy which are now seen to be emerging. The new software package, Fortnet, which we describe here, consists of an o... Title of program: FORTNET V2.2 Catalogue Id: ABRK_v1_0 Nature of problem Computational scientists look upon parallel architectures as a means to fulfil their dream of almost limitless processing power. Such power would enable hitherto unapproachable problems in physics, chemistry and engineering to be tackled. To benefit from the new hardware which is becoming available today there is clear incentive to embody parallel ideas into what we already know i.e. FORTRAN Versions of this program held in the CPC repository in Mendeley Data ABRK_v1_0; FORTNET V2.2; 10.1016/0010-4655(90)90182-Z This program has been imported from the CPC Program Library held at Queen's University Belfast (1969-2018)
