Description

This data contains measured and synthetic hyperspectral signatures associated with cropmarks from buried remains. A simulations generating script is also included. Simulations are generated by the radiative transfer model PROSAIL through sampling a multivariate empirical distribution of biophysical parameters. This distribution is derived from parameters obtained at an earlier stage from measured signatures using PROSAIL inversion. Synthetic signatures simulated in this manner have been used in the publication Gravanis, E., & Agapiou, A. (2024), Physically-based detection algorithm of buried archaeological remains using spectral signatures, IEEE Access.
