Description

The dataset includes data used for the archetype analysis performed to derive rice food security archetypes. To identify national-scale archetypes of rice food security, we followed three main steps 1) country and data selection, 2) data clustering, and 3) definition and description of the resulting clusters to identify archetypes. The dataset contains national data on rice production, consumption, and trade. In particular, data on yield (gap), suitable land for rice production, land area equipped for irrigation, import dependency ratio and rice per capita consumption, GDP per capita and rice production quantity. The table describing how data has been processed can be found in the Supplementary material A (Table A.1) of the accompanying article
