We included pediatric patients with underlying metabolic disorders who developed AE or AE-like eruptions, and conducted a comprehensive evaluation and scoring analysis of test results related to zinc and metabolic factors, as well as the perspectives discussed in the respective articles. Higher positive scores indicate stronger associations with zinc-related, while higher negative scores suggest correlations with metabolic factors. Among these, pancreatic enzymes and albumin were classified as indirect factors related to zinc due to their regulatory roles in zinc absorption and utilization. The quality assessment criteria for the included studies were based on the Oxford Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine standards.
