Description

These are data used in: Lee, C.C., Sheridan, S.C., Dusek, G.P., Pirhalla, D.E. (2022):Atmospheric circulation patterns and sea-level variability: Assessing S2S predictability. (Manuscript currently in peer-review). Data can be used with proper attribution All files are Matlab-readable files. ANN = Artificial Neural Network FILES: AllTeleDataNew.mat - Teleconnections Data used in the research AltNets_CP-Both.mat - the saved ANN models for the PLANN forecasts used in the research CFSv1_ReforecastNEW_Mo0.mat - the reforecast data from CFSv1 (From 1982-March 2011) used in the research. Mo0 indicates that the first month listed is the month of initialization (i.e. Month/Lead =0) CFSv2_ReforecastNEW_Mo0.mat - the reforecast data from CFSv2 (Since April 2011) used in the research. Mo0 indicates that the first month listed is the month of initialization (i.e. Month/Lead =0) ERA5_All6vars_1950-2019_RESAMP.mat - the resampled monthly-scale climate variables from ERA5 (from ECMWF) used in the research. (note: only SLP, u-wind & v-wind components are used, though other variables are included in this file). MonthlyDeaseasonedDetrended_RegSOMs_FINAL.mat - the saved ANN models for the Self-Organizing Map (SOM) clustering that was used for the SLP circulation patterns (CPs) and 10-m wind patterns (WPs) used in the research TideFIN.mat - the tide gauge data used in this research Trained_20_NARX_RegSOM_Networks_FINAL.mat - the saved Nonlinear AutoRegressive models with exogenous input (NARX models) used in this research
