This repository contains the anonymized dataset used in the study “Predictive Basket Steering and Shopper Choice Sovereignty in AI-Enabled Retailing: A Self-Determination Theory Perspective.” The data were collected through a survey of online grocery shoppers in China and were used to test the proposed research model grounded in Self-Determination Theory. Variables include key constructs related to predictive basket steering, namely option pruning convenience, preference reflection accuracy, contextual intent transparency, shopper choice sovereignty, and retailer reliance comfort, along with demographic information. The dataset is provided to support transparency, replicability, and future research on AI-enabled retailing and consumer autonomy.
