Description

This dataset contains raw AFM data that will be published with the article: "Multi-scale study of the architecture, topography, and mechanics of the human ovary from prepuberty to menopause: a blueprint for next-generation bioengineering and diagnosis", currently in the review in Nature Communication. It contains five folders corresponding to five independent experimental days. Each folder contains the raw, untreated AFM data ('.OUT', file extension) used to calculate the viscoelastic response and foles with the extension '.jpk_force-map' to obtain an elastic response. All the data was acquired on a JPK AFM microscope. Each file-name starts with either repro (reproductive stage), meno (menopausal stage), or prepub (prepuberty stage) tag, which corresponds to three age groups that were the subject of this study. The numbers correspond to a given patient (e.g., repro1 is a randomized name of a patient 1 from the reproductive age group). Files containing the same name tag, e.g., repro1, correspond to different zones (zone 1, 2, 3...) on the same tissue cut or the different cuts (lamela1, lamela2).
