Description

The code files in this repository are the Matlab code used to generate the organic material optical constants and perform transfer-matrix simulations and analysis described in: Q. Burlingame and Yueh-Lin Loo, "Optical simulations to inform the design of UV-absorbing organic materials and solar cells", Solar Energy Materials and Solar Cells (2021). The remaining data files, which are stored in .xls format, are the optical constants and other model inputs that were employed while running the simulations, and the full outputs describing the simulated device performance across the full parameter space explored. Since this parameter space was quite large, only a fraction of the total data could be expressed in the manuscript. Thus, all the output data are included here for further exploration and use by others. Portions of the Matlab code were adapted from transfer-matrix implementations made publicly available by the Forrest group at University of Michigan: http://umich.edu/~ocm/research.html and the McGehee group, formerly of Stanford: https://web.stanford.edu/group/mcgehee/transfermatrix/ The pspectro photometric and colorimetric calculation package was also used: https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/28185-pspectro-photometric-and-colorimetric-calculations
