Description

The vibration signal data collected from bearings of different health conditions and machine speed ranging from 600 to 3000 rpm. In this experiment 36 samples were collected in MATLAB format, where 4 samples are from the healthy bearings, 16 with inner race failure and 16 with outer race failure. The failures were caused by electrodischarge with diameters ranging from 1 to 2.8 mm. The vibration signal was acquired at a sampling frequency of 3000 samples/second and the signal length was 5000 points.

Steps to reproduce

An ADXL210 accelerometer was placed over the bearing with the test bearing to collect the vibration data. In addition, an encoder was installed to measure the rotational speed of the shaft. The signal was collected by a data acquisition board (DAQ) compatible with LABVIEW software. To conduct the experiment, a frequency inverter was used in which the rotation speed of the rotating machine was varied in the range from 600 rpm to 3000 rpm and 36 data were generated in matlab format. Four data for healthy bearings and 32 data for defective bearings. The millimeter faults ranged from 1 mm to 2.8 mm in diameter.
