Description

We simulate the vegetation and land surface parameters for MH China using a state-of-the-art land surface model forced with realistic proxy-based MH climate reconstructions. Metadata: Spatial resolution: 0.5 degree Spatial domain: 15-50°N and 70°E-140°E Contains three files: - Biome_Fig1.mat gives the biome distribution in China for PI and MH periods from our simulations with two biomisation methods. These data can reproduce Fig1 in the paper. - GPP_Fig2_3.mat gives the spatial patterns of GPP in China for PI and MH periods (6 simulations) and historical evolution (1860-2016) of GPP for China as a whole. These data can reproduce Figs 2 and 3 in the paper. - Energy_Fig4.mat gives spatial patterns of albedo, ET, maximum LAI, sensible heat flux, latent heat flux and roughness for the 6 simulations, which can reproduce Fig4 in the paper. This is the supplementary data for the paper "Enhanced Mid-Holocene Vegetation Growth and its Biophysical Feedbacks in China". Please read the paper and the associated supporting information before using the data. Please contact W. Chen (wzchen@cug.edu.cn) if you have any question.
