Description

The purpose of creating this formatted database is to investigate gut microbial composition and metabolic variation of UC couples. We assumed that gut microbiota of UC spouses is not as similar as that of health individuals by reason of cohabitation with UC patients. Fecal samples were collected from 13 pairs of healthy and UC couples. 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing and metagenomics sequencing were used to analyze. We found part of Firmicutes and pathways, changed between UC and health controls had no significant difference between UC and their spouses. Faecalibacterium was the predominantly varied bacterium between UC and UC-S. You are invited to download the tables which were worked out by the analysis.
