Description

The dataset was collected across 6 subplots planted with palm trees at Bukit Pelanduk, Malaysia during normal weather conditions. Palm soil samples were collected as triplicate at 6 respective plots designed to have intercropping with sesbania and without (control plot) from a depth of 15 cm. The soil samples were collected before and after 3-months of intercropping. The extracted DNA was then utilized for library preparation and subsequent DNA sequencing using Oxford Nanopore Technology (ONT, UK). The raw data obtained went through a series of bioinformatics analyses that encompassed data quality control, metagenome assembly, and taxonomy annotation.
