Data-driven exploration of risk riding behaviors and traffic accident outcomes in Thailand

Description

This survey aimed to explore the risks associated with the behavior of motorcycle and unsafe riding practices in Thailand. The survey questionnaire was structured based on prior research and gathered 496 valid responses through social media platforms such as Facebook, Line, and X. A sample of the questionnaire is available in the dataset on the Mendeley Data repository. The survey instrument includes the following sections: Socio-demographics: Gender, age, education, marital status, monthly income, occupation, area, rider's license, motorcycle driver's license type, motorcycle type, time period, riding outcome, riding hours, riding experience, traffic knowledge. Risk behavior of motorcycle: Factors related to traffic violations, accidents, and levels of injury. Unsafe riding behavior: Consists of 39 factors, including examples such as not noticing pedestrians while turning from a main road into a side street, not wearing a helmet while riding, running a red light, exceeding the speed limit on a residential street, and going against the flow of traffic.
