Investigating the factors enabling the accurate planning of the patient-assisted teledermatology model during the pandemic in Turkey: Survey analysis

After obtaining informed consent, each patient was informed about the definition, scope, and usefulness of teledermatology by explaining a brief text presenting in the supplementary file included the survey form consisting of 20 questions. The patients were asked about their attitudes towards teledermatology. After the dermatological examinations, the diagnosis and management of the diseases, and classification of diseases according to lesion location(s) were recorded by the physician. The physician’s and the patient’s opinions on whether it was possible to manage properly the current medical condition through teledermatology were recorded. In addition, parameters such as the effect of the patients' current complaints on the quality of life, difficulty in consulting a doctor before and after the pandemic were graded with integers between 0-10 with the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS).
