Description

Environmental Assets Shapefiles for Flood Exposure Analysis in Tuscany, Italy This dataset contains geographic information system (GIS) data in the form of shapefiles representing the environmental assets analyzed in the study on flood exposure in the Tuscany region, Italy. The dataset was compiled as part of the research introducing the EnvXflood method, which assesses the qualitative exposure of environmental assets to river floods. Contents of the Dataset: Environmental Asset Layers: shapefiles representing various types of environmental assets, including rivers, lakes, wetlands, forests, and other environmental significant assets identified in the study. Flood Exposure Classification: attribute data indicating the relative exposure levels of each asset based on the developed methodology (Field: EEVi,2). Data Source Information: a CSV file listing the original sources of the environmental data, which must be cited when the data are reused, is included. Data Ownership & Attribution: The data included in this dataset are not the property of the authors but originate from external sources, as specified in the accompanying CSV file. If the data are reused, the original sources must always be cited in accordance with their respective attribution requirements. The dataset has been modified by the authors for the purposes of the study, including processing, classification, and adaptation to the EnvXflood method. Data Format: File Type: ESRI Shapefile (.shp, .shx, .dbf, .prj, qmd) Coordinate System: EPSG:3003 Attribute Information: each shapefile includes relevant attributes such as asset type, exposure classification, and associated values. Limitations & Disclaimer: The dataset is provided as is, without any warranty regarding its accuracy, completeness, or suitability for specific applications. Exposure classification is qualitative and should be interpreted within the framework of the EnvXflood method. The data are specific to the Tuscany region and may not be directly applicable to other geographic areas without adaptation.
