Description

The concentrations of dissolved inorganic and organic nitrogen (DIN and DON), total dissolved amino acids (TDAA), and pigments in the East China Sea shelf

Files

Steps to reproduce

1. Sampling: Seawater samples were collected and filtered on board. 2. Laboratory experiment: The concentrations of DIN and DON were analyzed using an auto nutrient analyzer (New QuAAtro39, SEAL Analytical, Germany). The TDAA concentrations were analyzed using ultra-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) system, following liquid-phase acid hydrolysis. The pigments concentrations were analyzed using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) system. Based on the ratio of each pigment to chlorophyll a (Chl a), the relative contribution of different phytoplankton groups to total Chl a was determined using the CHEMTAX program.
