2019 Franklin County house price data

Description

This is one-year (from 01/01/2019 to 12/31/2019) house sales data in Franklin County, OH, obtained from the Franklin County Auditor as open records. During the study period, 18,843 valid residential building transactions occurred without repeat sales. A total of 16,588 house sales are retained for the ensuing analysis after a data cleaning process, which consisted of deleting abnormal sales and outliers. Such records include sales-type as land only, with land over 5 acres, with zero bedrooms, with a total living area less than 200 square feet or more than 1,000 square feet, or with a house price below $52,500 (5% percentile of house prices for the entire dataset). The target variable is house transaction prices in US dollars.
