Description

A new analytical solution of spontaneous water imbibition into an oil-saturated capillary is derived considering gravity and buoyancy, and a core-scale mathematical model for quantitively evaluate the effects of gravity and buoyancy on the spontaneous imbibition is proposed and verified with experimental data.
