In this study.LP was used to treat the model of postmenopausal hypercholesterolemia . Our findings shed light on the mechanisms behind the lipid-lowering effects of LP, and suggest that reconstituting the intestinal microbiota to correct bile acid abnormalities may be a potential treatment for postmenopausal hypercholesterolemia.
