Description

The dataset contains tapping and literacy measures of the study “Tapping to music predicts literacy skills of first grade children” (Kertész & Honbolygó, 2021). A total of six tapping tasks were administered in three tempi (80, 120, 150 bpm) with two kinds of stimuli (music, metronome). Three variables are included in the dataset: - consistency - asynchrony - continuation consistency Three subtests from the Hungarian adaptation of the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-IV) were administered: Block Design, Vocabulary, Digit Span. Values are included in the dataset as standard points. Three tasks were administered from 3DM-H (Dyslexia Differential Diagnosis, Maastricht, Hungarian adaptation): word reading, spelling, phoneme deletion. Word reading performance is indicated by two variables: accuracy and fluency. All values are given as z-scores.
