Description

Because of scarf repair geometry, using shell composite section to simulate 2D model of scarf repair is not feasible. Current work presents a development in material properties assignment to a planar geometry that makes plane strain, plane stress and generalized plane strain modeling of a scarf repair under a uniaxial tensile load possible.
