Data Set on Households Preferences on Energy Label in Malaysia
Description
We collected primary data from 799 households in Malaysia to determine their preferences regarding energy labels when buying a refrigerator. The dataset is organized based on the commands used for the econometric software NLogit. This data will be utilized for in-depth analysis, specifically to determine the marginal willingness to pay (MWTP) using the Choice Experiment method. The provided data presents a comprehensive overview of the socio-demographic information gathered during the field survey from the participating individuals. Understanding households' energy label preferences is essential for promoting sustainability. By influencing consumer behavior towards energy-efficient choices, we can contribute to mitigating climate change and protecting the environment while conserving valuable resources.
