Description

This dataset contains reproducible statistical analysis templates developed in JASP for evaluating a brief AI-assisted emotional regulation intervention delivered through a task-sharing model in university students. The repository includes parametric and non-parametric analyses, as well as session-level evaluation structures.

The data were obtained as part of a quasi-experimental study evaluating a brief emotional regulation intervention assisted by artificial intelligence and delivered through a task-sharing model in university students. Study design and procedure Participants were recruited from first-semester university cohorts and assigned to either an intervention group or a control group. The intervention group received an 8-session structured program focused on emotional regulation, while the control group remained on a waitlist condition. Each session followed a standardized structure including: Psychoeducation on emotional processes Cognitive-behavioral strategies (e.g., cognitive restructuring) Breathing and regulation techniques Brief pre- and post-session subjective assessments The intervention was delivered by trained undergraduate and graduate students under weekly supervision by faculty members. Instruments and measures Data collection included standardized psychometric instruments administered at baseline (pre) and post-intervention: Anxiety: Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) Depression: Zung Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) Emotional regulation: Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale (DERS or equivalent validated Spanish version) Additionally, session-level measurements were collected before and after each intervention session to capture within-session changes. Data structure The dataset is organized in wide format, including: Participant identifier (anonymized) Group assignment (control vs. intervention) Pre- and post-intervention measures Session-level pre/post variables for each of the 8 sessions Data processing Data were entered and cleaned prior to analysis. No personally identifiable information is included in the dataset. Statistical analysis workflow All statistical analyses were conducted using JASP. The analytic workflow included: Independent samples t-tests for baseline group comparisons Repeated measures ANOVA (Group × Time) for primary outcomes Wilcoxon signed-rank tests for non-parametric pre–post comparisons Session-level analyses to evaluate intra-session changes All analyses are fully reproducible using the provided .jasp templates, which contain pre-configured models and settings. Reproducibility Reproducibility is ensured through: Inclusion of complete analysis templates (.jasp files) Standardized variable naming conventions A synthetic dataset illustrating the expected data structure A detailed codebook describing all variables and coding schemes Users can reproduce the analyses by loading the provided templates in JASP and linking them to a dataset with the same structure. Ethical considerations All data included in this repository are synthetic and provided for reproducibility purposes only. Original data were collected under informed consent procedures and in accordance with institutional ethical guidelines.
