Wenzhen Chen


Wenzhen Chen, the famous professor in the nuclear science and engineering field in China, received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree from Naval Academy of Engineering, China, in 1983 and 1989, respectively. He received his Ph.D degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 1994. He worked as a post-doctor in Shanghai Jiaotong University from 1996 to 1998. Presently, Dr. Chen is a professor and doctoral student supervisor at College of Nuclear Science and Technology, Naval University of Engineering. Dr. Chen is also the director of nuclear engineering discipline. His research activities involve nuclear reactor safety analysis, nuclear reactor thermal-hydraulics, neutron kinetics, heat transfer, thermodynamics and numerical method. He has presided many research works in Nuclear Energy Science and Engineering, and published more than 100 research papers in China and in the international Journal, such as 《Nuclear Engineering and Design》,《Progress in Nuclear Energy》,《Annals of Nuclear Energy》,《Int.J.of Energy Research》,《Int. J. Power & Energy Systems》,《Heat and Mass Transfer》,《Progress in Natural Science》,《Journal of Thermal Science》,《AIAA Journal of Thermophysics and Heat Transfer》,《Energy Conversion and Management》,《Chinese Science Bulletin》,《ASME Journal of Heat Transfer》. Dr. Chen has been invited to review more than 50 papers for 《Progress in Nuclear Energy》,《Annals of Nuclear Energy》,《Journal of Computational and Applied Mathematics》,《Physics of Fluids》,《Heat and Mass Transfer》,《Progress in Natural Science》, 《Chemical Engineering Communications》, 《Numerical Heat Mass Transfer》, 《Nuclear Science and Engineering》, 《Chinese Science Bulletin》,《Atomic Energy Science and Technology》, et al.. Dr. Chen has published the books 《Nuclear Reactor Engineering Principle》and 《Thermal Hydraulics of Nuclear Power Plants》 in China.
