Inbreeding effects for resistance to Acute Hepatopancreatic Necrosis Disease and White Spot Disease in challenge tests and harvest weight, survival and biomass production in field ponds in Pacific white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei
Description
The data relate to the paper “Inbreeding effects for resistance to Acute Hepatopancreatic Necrosis Disease and White Spot Disease in challenge tests and harvest weight, survival and biomass production in field ponds in Pacific white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei.” The findings presented in this study have relevance for the implementation of genetic improvement programs in cultured shrimp for productivity and disease resistance traits in experimental challenge trials and field ponds, being one of the few studies worldwide to address inbreeding effects in this species for these traits. Description and format of data. The data are the original observations analysed in the mixed model analysis in the paper and the original data used to draw Figures 1-3. The names of the variables are spelled in full and as applicable, the abbreviations used in the study. All data is presented in four separate files for AHPND challenges, WSD challenges, Pond variables, and Data used in Figures 1-3. Format is csv (comma-separated values)
