These are the raw data corresponding to the paper entitled “National trends in the biodiversity concern within digital media” submitted to Biological Conservation. This article aimed to characterize the biodiversity interest in digital media in order to improve the management strategies in biodiversity conservation, based on a multi-scale communication approach. We conducted an extensive qualitative assessment of the interest in biodiversity in online media, in the case-study of Chile. We also compared national trends of biodiversity interest of Chile and other countries.
