Description

The dataset is a result of our interest in knowing the usage of digital instruments by the small farm households of Tamilnadu, India. We devised a survey schedule to understand the access and utilization of smart phones and e-service centres (public and private) in agriculture practices of the farmers (n=112). The data were collected in March 2022. We found that almost all the small farmers own smart phones and they also have access to e-service centres. Except for the entertainment purposes, the usage of these instruments is found to be less for general as well as agricultural activities. This information is important for implementation of advanced Information and Communication Technology infrastructure for agriculture supply chain activities.
