Description

These synthetic seabed logging (SBL) data sets were generated using a commercial software, namely Computer Simulation Technology (CST) software. The data is about magnitude of electric field (E-field) versus offset for various transmission frequencies at three different locations of hydrocarbon layer. The electromagnetic (EM) response varies in every frequency used. The SBL models were assumed to have isotropic sediment layer. The hydrocarbon layer was embedded in the sediment layer. Thickness of overburden layer indicates the depth of hydrocarbon from the seabed. Lower frequency of EM signal can produce farther penetration of the signal. Any information about the software can be found in https://www.3ds.com/products-services/simulia/products/cst-studio-suite/.
