Teacher-Student Relationship and Academic Performance Survey Dataset from Bangladeshi Universities: A Student-Conducted Study
Description
This dataset contains survey responses collected from university students across Bangladesh, focusing on teacher-student relationships (TSR) and their impact on academic performance. The survey was conducted by students to gain insights into various aspects of TSR, including interaction quality, academic support, encouragement, and student engagement. The dataset also includes demographic information, university affiliations, and subjective feedback on areas needing improvement in TSR. #Key Features: *Demographics: Age, gender, university name, department/program. *TSR Metrics: Interaction, assistance, encouragement, relationship quality, and online learning experiences. *Academic Performance Indicators: Self-reported academic outcomes and TSR impact assessment. *Qualitative Feedback: Open-ended responses on improving teacher-student relationships. #Potential Applications: *Analyzing the correlation between TSR and student performance. Identifying gaps and areas for improvement in university teacher-student interactions. *Supporting educational policy-making and institutional development in Bangladesh.

The dataset was collected through a structured survey among university students in Bangladesh to assess teacher-student relationships (TSR) and their impact on academic performance. Survey Design: A questionnaire was created based on literature, covering demographics, teacher-student interaction, academic performance, and TSR feedback. It included both quantitative (Likert-scale) and qualitative (open-ended) questions. Data Collection: Conducted online via Google Forms, shared through university groups and social media. 399 valid responses were collected. Data Cleaning: Responses were exported, duplicates removed, and numerical values assigned to categorical data. Open-ended answers were analyzed for common themes. Tools: Google Forms, Excel/Sheets for cleaning, and Python (Pandas, NumPy) for analysis. Reproducibility: The dataset can be expanded with more surveys and further analysis using statistical or machine learning methods to explore TSR and academic performance links. This ensures reliability for educational research and policy-making. ............................................................................................................
