Description

This dataset contains high-resolution acceleration measurements collected during a field campaign conducted from June 7 to June 29, 2024, in the Bahía Blanca Estuary, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. Data were acquired using a custom-built sensing system based on an MPU6050 accelerometer, controlled by an ATMEGA328P-PU microcontroller and stored on a microSD card. The instrument was housed in an IP67-rated waterproof enclosure and mounted on a beacon buoy deployed in the estuarine environment. Due to the installation geometry, the sensor box was positioned with a 7° angular offset relative to the buoy symmetry axis. Measurements were recorded at 100 ms intervals with a full-scale range of ±4 g, yielding more than 18 million samples for each acceleration component. Each file includes record number, sampling interval, three-axis acceleration, temperature, and battery voltage, providing a robust dataset for analyzing buoy dynamic response under estuarine forcing conditions.
