Description

Human Resources Management Software (HRMS) is continuously evolving, thereby accelerating and simplifying the processes of managing, evaluating, and developing personnel within organizations. This study investigates whether teams formed using HRMS outperform those formed by human selection or through random assignment. PMSS2021 ------------- This experiment was conducted with two groups of students—both graduate and undergraduate—enrolled in the PMMS and IPMSS courses at the University of Bologna in 2021. The students were assigned to project teams, with some teams being formed using the "Dream Team" algorithm by Livrea HRMS, while others were assembled randomly. In the dataset the teams are described by the two columns: Team Type: Dream Team (DT) or Random Team (RT) Please insert your DTN: Team code (A, B, C, ..., P) At the end of the semester, all students were asked to respond to the questions listed below. The responses were recorded using a Likert scale, with values ranging from 1 to 5. One question for each columns of the dataset. The "16P" in the 8th question refers to the "16personalities" test available online. Smart Got Talent in the 9th question is a Soft skill assessment created by Smartpeg, available in Livrea HRMS (see link below). Questions: ------------ The people in my group have the right skills? The roles were assigned to the most suitable people to fulfill them? I get along well with most of the people on the team that I have been assigned to? It was easy for us to find converging opinions and solutions? If I recap with this same group we would be successful in the activities that would be proposed to us? How well do you find yourself suited to the role you have been assigned? With Smart Got Talent I was able to correctly identify my strengths and improvement points? The result of the personality test (16p) describes well how they are in character and attitude? I prefer to work in groups rather than individually? Compared to the groups of the first period of the course in those of the second part you found yourself .
