Nurse social courage: Relationship to emotional exhaustion and job satisfaction

The data examines the relationship between courage, emotional exhaustion, and job satisfaction. There is a high negative and significant correlation between job satisfaction and emotional exhaustion. The results provided significant evidence of how workplace social courage affects job satisfaction and emotional exhaustion. Workplace social courage negatively and significantly affected nurses' emotional exhaustion and job satisfaction in a positive and meaningful way. The results also showed that workplace social courage reduced emotional exhaustion in nurses by increasing job satisfaction. The data was coded as follows: job satisfaction-JoSat, courage-C, emotional exhaustion-EmEx. Marital status, age, and experiences are the demographic variables.


Steps to reproduce

Data were obtained from hospital nurses using the convenience sample method. Data were analyzed with SPSS 23.0, and Pearson correlation and regression analysis was conducted to test hypotheses.
