The datasets consist of 48 Sub-Saharan African countries' data for gross domestic product (GDP), energy use, trade openness, education, and urbanization. Trade openness is the sum of total imports and exports of merchandise, goods, and services as a percentage of GDP, while urbanization is measured as a percentage of people living in urban areas. Education is captured as secondary school enrolment (% gross). All the datasets are obtained from the World Bank's development indicators database (WDI, 2022).
