For plotting figures, download data: "Figure_Souce_Data.mat"; For plotting Supplementary figures, download data: "SupFigure_data.mat"; The relevant calculations mentioned in the article can be found in the following files: "Code_Demo.m": This file contains implementations for AMI , BMI , CI , conditional Fisher information, as well as calculations for linear and nonlinear fitting. "Model_linear_2D_MF.m": This is a function file related to the linear model fitting in two dimensions. "Model_nonlinear_2D_MF.m": This file contains functions related to the nonlinear model fitting in two dimensions. "bimodalgaussfit.m": This is a function file related to fitting bimodal Gaussian distributions. "cxcorr.m": This file contains functions related to cross-correlation calculations. The original neuron data is available upon request from the lead contact , as it is too large to be included here.
