Description

Eprot determined at various depths through a galvanically protected AISI 1018 carbon steel pipe section submerged in saturated potash brine. This data is used to create a profile of the potential between carbon steel and its environment while cathodically protected. From the data, the average protection potential can be estimated that is required to cathodically protect carbon steel in saturated potash brine. The protection potential can later be used in design calculations and experiments as the polarization required for cathodic protection in this environment.
