Description

In the present dataset, 3 types of sustainable materials for constructions are characterized: stone, adobe and wood. The images were collected in the State of Guerrero, Mexico, in the cities and communities of Acapulco, Amojileca, Atoyac, Ayutla de los libres, Chilapa, Chilpancingo, Coyuca de Benítez, Cruz grande, Huitzuco, Iguala de la Independencia, San Marcos, Taxco de Alarcón, Tecpán de Galeana, Teloloapan, Tixtla de Guerrero, Tlapa de Comonfort, Xocomanatlan and Zumpango. The objective of the compilation of images is the identification of sustainable materials for construction in the State of Guerrero through the vernacular architecture of the zone. The constructions represent the vernacular architecture and culture in terms of construction of the region. The photographs were taken in a particular way in field visits and through Google Earth by means of StreetView, making visits mainly in the downtown area of each city and community, which represent the oldest constructions. This collection contains 235 images separated in folders of each of the materials and geographical area of each region.
