Needlestick injuries and contamination from loose sutures are surgical challenges. In this video, we demonstrate a modified controlled suture looping technique that enhances safety and efficiency. By organizing excess suture into tensioned loops, this method minimizes contamination risk, prevents tangling, and improves knot security. It also enables solo suture cutting, which is practical for settings with limited assistance. A practical solution to improve sterility and reduce sharps injuries in the operating room.
