Data for the manuscript "Nutrients and herbivory, but not sediments, have opposite and independent effects on the tropical macroalga, Padina boryana" (Johnson et al.) collected in the field in Mo'orea, French Polynesia between 21 January and 8 February 2016. Includes benthic cover data for macroalgae, herbivore surveys, and results of three-factor field experiment testing the effects of nutrient loading, herbivory, and sediment grain size on P. boryana biomass accumulation.
