Description

This dataset includes the gadgets whose integration into education has grown excessively, raising questions about their impact on the students’ learning for the younger learners. This systematic literature review examines studies that were published between 2010 and 2024 that explore both the benefits and drawbacks of gadget use in elementary education. Positive impacts include improved engagement and personalized learning experiences through interactive educational applications. However, findings also indicate potential drawbacks, such as reduced attention span, increased distraction, and challenges to physical and social development due to prolonged screen time. This review highlights the importance of moderation and structured integration of gadgets within the classroom to maximize educational benefits while minimizing potential downsides. Recommendations for future research include longitudinal studies to explore the long-term effects of gadget use on academic and developmental outcomes in children.
