Description

CO2 sequestration in deep saline storage reservoir has been modeled using a finite element heat and mass transfer solver (FEHM). We solved two-phase flow and solute transport equations to simulate the dissolution and local capillary trapping in heterogeneous reservoirs with permeability and capillary entry pressure heterogeneities. In this dataset, we have provided some samples of input files and output files. The names of the files are self-explanatory. There are two parts to this dataset. In the Input_files folder, permeability (k) and permeability-capillary entry pressure (k_pc0) input files for given. In the Output_files permeability (k) and permeability-capillary entry pressure (k_pc0) output files for variance 0.1, 0.3, 1 and 3, and correlation lengths 2 m, 5 m and 10 m at time 20 years (end of the injection period) are given.

Steps to reproduce

To reproduce this dataset, go into any subfolder of the input folder and then run ./xfehm_v3.3.0linUbuntu.13Feb17. The other version of the executable file is accessible from https://fehm.lanl.gov/downloads/index.shtml.
