Description

The files are arranged in the following format: faultseverity_rpm_overlap%.csv. The overlap percentages are 0,30,50,75 and 90 for each fault severity. The Daubechies 6 wavelet is used to extract the Wavelet Packet Transform energies at Level 9 on the accelerometer data acquired at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology. A shaft of 10mm diameter is used, and transverse cracks are incurred in the shaft, which are in increasing order: 2mm, 3mm, and 4mm. The rotational speeds for each fault are 1500 rpm (25 Hz) and 2000 rpm (33.33 Hz). The accelerometer used is Bently and Nevada AM3100 T2 Z2 with a sensitivity of 100mv/g and was mounted on the bearing housing of the experimental setup. The sampling rate while acquiring the data was 6.827 Hz for 70s for each fault category. At level 9, each packet covers a frequency sub-band in multiples of 6.67 Hz. The frequency range till 340 Hz is covered and the frequencies of interest for crack detection are : 1. For 25 Hz rotational speed: 25 Hz, 50 Hz, and 75 Hz 2. For 33.33 Hz rotational speed: 33.33 Hz, 66.66 Hz, 100 Hz
