Description

Hind limbs were collected from UM-HET3 mice (22-25 months old) and fixed in 10 % neutral buffer formalin. Intact femur and tibia including the knee joint were scanned using a high-resolution SkyScan micro-CT system (SkyScan 1172, Kontich, Belgium) containing 10-M digital detector set at a 10W energy level (100kV and 100 μA), with a 0.5 mm aluminum filter with a 9.7μm image voxel size. Data reconstruction was done using NRecon software. 3D videos were prepared using CT Vox software (Version 3.3.1 64-bit).
