Maize Value Chain Analysis in Refugee Hosting Districts: A case of Rwamwanja refugee settlement, Uganda
Description
One of the roles of the HealthyFoodAfrica (HFA) project is to improve food chain governance/innovative governance arrangements for sustainable, resilient and nutritious agri-food chains. The overall objective is to create more equitable and sustainable agri-food chains through innovative governance arrangements that strengthen the links between and empower local food chain actors in providing consumers with sustainable, healthy, nutritious and affordable food products. With focus on small and medium-sized farms and those food processors and retailers (and all value chain players) that facilitate the connections from farms to consumers, this dataset was collected from value chain actors from Rwamwanja refugee settlement in Kamwenge district to help the team to better understand the current issues and co-create pilotable innovative arrangements to improve livelihoods through food value chain operations and governance.
