Gait Kinematics and Kinetics in Healthy Adults Assessed Using the Oxford Foot Model
Description
This dataset established the first database of gait kinematic and kinetic norms for healthy young Chinese adults based on the Oxford Foot Model (OFM). We quantified three-dimensional multi-segment movements among the tibia, hindfoot, forefoot, and hallux during gait,confirming the applicability of the Oxford Foot Model in clinical gait assessment and personalized rehabilitation research among the Chinese population.

Steps to reproduce
The dataset includes static calibration trials and walking trials collected over force plates, with raw C3D files, marker trajectory data, force-plate/analog data where available. The participants were barefoot and wore standardized, tight-fitting shorts provided by the laboratory. Reflective markers were affixed to key bony landmarks on both lower limbs and feet. Static data were collected in a standardized anatomical position to construct the OFM and define the segment coordinate systems. Following completion of the static calibration, the eight marker points (FME, TAM, FM1 and MCAL) on both sides were removed. The subject walked at a comfortable pace along a 10-metre pavement, completing three walking trials, during which kinematic and dynamic data were recorded.For three participants, only two valid dynamic trials were included because one trial was excluded due to an unsatisfactory walking trajectory, invalid force-plate contact, or marker loss.
